My favorite restaurant in Tallahassee is Backwoods Crossing, where the slogan "Farm to Fork" makes my stomach crawl. The restaurant is a favorite of the locals and to be back with this family - who run the restaurant again and again - is because the crabs stuffed with grouper are a local favorite. This is the place to go if you want to dine there and know that a destination off the beaten track is worth a visit. Nobody knows anything about this restaurant, but I feel like I know it because I had dinner there and my mouth melted.

The food at Cypress Restaurant is slightly more expensive than some of the other options on this list, but many would argue that the price is worth it considering what you get in return. The food is high quality and you will have a hard time finding a place to get more than one or two of their typical dishes. By far the best on the menu is lasagne, which is by far one of my favorite dishes in Tallahassee. You will find a wide selection of pasta and a variety of toppings, and no other lasagna in town comes close to that of Mum and Dad.

Forget the fried eggs, Cajun fries and cheddar cheese, this is burger paradise and you don't have to try to have it all. You don't have to try the cider - but it's definitely one of the best burgers in Tallahassee and definitely worth the price.

Taco Republic tacos are exaggerated, delicious with moist meat and creative fixations. I'm always looking for the best fish tacos and the lightly fried mahi - chop yourself into that maw - which is more than just a side dish. Siam Sushi is one of the best sushi restaurants in Tallahassee, with a variety of sushi varieties that are consistently delicious.
