Florida A & M University is a member of the American Athletics Conference (ACC) and participates in NCAA Division I - AA. 70 - 7 percent of the entry-level classes are based in Florida and 42 percent are students from non-minority backgrounds. Florida A & M University is a national leader in academic excellence and excellence in student-athletic achievement.

FAMU's main campus houses more than 4,000 students and more than 2,500 faculty and staff. It is accredited for awarding degrees in Baccalaureate, Master and PhD and is a member of the Association of American Universities (AAU), the largest association of public universities and colleges in the country. FAMU also has a national reputation for excellence in student achievement - athlete and academic excellence. Florida A & M College of Letters, Arts and Sciences (FALSA) is part of the campus.

FAMU has a rich tradition as a SWAC member, including a four-year membership in the Grambling State Conference and three years as an independent member. The Rattlers face the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats in a non-conference game at Florida A & M Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 1 at 7 p.m.

Both the men's and women's basketball programs have been trained and have unbeaten records through Christmas. FAMU also holds the record for being the first and only HBCU to win its first NCAA tournament in 1978, beating the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Georgia became one of only two divisions I schools in the nation with an unbeaten regular season record of 10-0 when it defeated the University of Miami in 1979, and Florida A & M hasn't been left empty-handed in its upcoming - or even its - senior season, having won its last four regular season games since 1978.

The Gators scored nine field goals in four quarters and took the lead through FAMU, winning the battle of the boards for the sixth time in seven attempts, but equalized early in the second quarter with a three-point throw by Florida A & M senior guard Kaitlyn Smith to make it 8-8. After scoring the first two goals, the Gators led by nine points at halftime and eight at halftime.

FAMU got on the board in the first quarter when freshman defenseman Herman Jackson forced a fumble after a tackle on Aggie RB Marquell Cartwright and then soaked up the loose pig's skin before throwing 55 yards for a touchdown. Florida's first possession of the ball ended with a 27-yard touchdown pass from Rattler to compatriot Marvin Mims. On the game's opening drive, he threw for 27 yards and a TD pass, and Florida A & M's second possession of the day ended with a 3-and-out from FAMU's 10-yard line. Rattling on her first drive, she throws a 27-yard TD that mimes Marvin's first touchdown throw to her.

Florida's first possession of the ball ended with a 27-yard touchdown pass from Rattler to compatriot Marvin Mims. On the game's opening drive, he threw for 27 yards and a TD pass, and Florida's second possession of the day ended with a 3-and-out from FAMU's 10-yard line. She rattles on the first drive and throws a 27-yard touchdown pass to her teammate Marvin.

Trask, who was playing her last college game, played in the second half when the Gators were already 31-13 behind. Trask didn't have her four best pass catchers, but she didn't have or behave like one of them, and she played well enough to play in a second-half game in which Florida A & M football team beat FAMU 42-10. She played, superficially, in an important game for her team, even though she was (presumably) playing in his last college game.

The governor also said it was up to local hospitals in southwest Florida counties to set up a first-come, first-served process. Florida hosted the Florida A & M football team's game against FAMU on Saturday.
