Imagine School at Evening Rose Reviews

I have had my child at Imagine School since it opened last year. I was preparing to take him from a private school to a public school, when my friend told me about this new charter school. I have found that the curriculum is challenging enough for him to keep him occupied. He has adjusted well. He will be going into Middle School next year and there was discussion about public vs. Imagine. Imagine won out, no ifs and buts. Even though there isn't organized sports, there are other afterschool activities that he is involved with. The PTO is great and very active in the school. The school also doesn't stress out the children over FCAT. They know the testing is important, but don't want the children to be so nervous over it that they cannot test well. Love this school and have recommended to other parents I know.

Imagine school is one the best schools in the nation. They are plenty of charter schools out there, but it is only one that is really know what they are doing. Imagine school is that! I have children attended regular public school in Tallahassee for one and a half month and they begged me with tears to find them a new better school. My children have attended well-known University Lab School in other state and very accustomed to hands-on, experimental method of learning, not just memorizing the subject. Regular public school is teaching nothing but just drilling towards FCAT test as we all know...even with all A schools. The education here is expansive. Imagine prepare students to be the best for the 21st century with their CHILD method of teaching. If you are looking for traditional test-taking, busy works school, this may not be best fit for you.

Well unlike the parent who wrote 'absolute disappointment and disgust' we are very happy with the school. Like any other school you have to be involved and your kids have to be eager to learn. I have a son who is always eager to learn and then I have one who is content at his level. This school provides the curriculum to accomodate both. The uniforms are great! Of course kids try to bend the rules a little, but it is up to the parents to enforce the uniform rule not the school. PE gives the kids a little time to exercise the mind and stretch, if you want a full blown sport, well there is always competitive sports. I selected this school because of the unique curriculum not P.E. Obviously this is not the school for all kids, each parents has to decide what is best for their child.

I have been nothing but satisfied since the first day of school. My child is very happy there and loves going to school everyday. Imagine School at Evening Rose offers an excellent choice in our child's education. They use the Project CHILD teaching delivery method and the children move to their different stations that are set up for each subject area, like math, reading, social studies. Imagine also offers thirty minutes of PE each day, which everytime I have volunteered with the PE class, I was very pleased to see that they do 15 minutes of calisthenics and then an organized activity game. The Imagine uniforms are a blessing! Imagine has a highly involved PTO and we know many nice families that also attend there as well. You could not ask more from the administration, teachers and Principal. Thanks for a GREAT choice in my child's education!

I don't know how to put it in words my absolute disappointment and disgust with this school. It looks like a dream school on paper but it is obvious that the administration has no idea how to implement rules or basic skills. My child learned nothing nothing!!! There is no structure at all the kids run free all the time in the classroom, lunchroom and their PE is a joke. PLEASE PLEASE do not send your child there if you are concerned with their education. It is a school of misfits and children that are not guided by basic discipline. The idea of uniforms is the only structure they have and even that is a joke. Any regular public school is better than this. Save yourself and your children from falling behind!!!!
